Sumakshi Singh’s layered installations constantly traverse the lines between Metaphor, Reality and Illusion and ranges from plays on space-time theories to cultural, historic and physical critiques of place, done in paintings, drawings and interactive installations.

The project is a curated homage to the experience of lush, illuminated, breathing, dying and resurrecting gardens which now outlive their creators. The story is of the gardens as a portal into a dimension of magic and possibility as viewers walk into an installation of delicately constructed white plants made of lace and embroidery. There are elements of playfulness, of archiving, of levitating that the viewer is invited to partake in.

Sumakshi Singh lives and works in Gurugram, India
